Overwatering is one of the most common mistakes with new trees. Watch for these signs: leaves turning yellow while the soil is still wet; leaves wilting even though the soil feels damp; soil staying soggy for more than a day or two after watering; fungus, mold, or gnats forming around the base of the trunk; soft or mushy bark near the trunk base. If you notice any of these, cut back watering and allow the soil to dry out between sessions. When in doubt, give us a call at (210) 202-4284.
